Civil Engineering graduate students Chris Bachmann, Peyman Berjis, and Michael Hain were among thirteen U of T students to receive special SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarships for Business-Related Research work. Their work focuses on vital commercial applications of Civil Engineering, from the analysis of GPS and Bluetooth data for transit route optimization to the impact of public policy on road closures due to construction. These promising young researchers are bringing vital, unique solutions to real-world problems.
