    • Recent PhD graduate Dr. Michael Montgomery (CivE) and his former supervisor Professor Constantin Christopoulos (CivE), who have together formed a company to market new compact building technology they developed to limit the swaying of buildings in the event of high winds or an earthquake

    • Professor Goldie Nejat (MIE), who has developed a robot to assist the elderly with daily tasks

  • Professor David Zingg (UTIAS), who is working to reduce the greenhouse emissions from aircraft by optimizing their design (the story is available only in the PDF version)

Traditional Land Acknowledgement

We wish to acknowledge this land on which the University of Toronto operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
